The Building Department is here for you and the safety of our Township residents. Most construction projects require building permits. The reason for a building permit is simply to insure that all construction projects are done according to the applicable codes. The most important item considered is that all projects are safe.

The State of Michigan requires all local jurisdictions to inspect projects for total assurance that you and your family
are kept safe and are not subjected to substandard or faulty construction. We are here to serve you and please feel
free to contact us with any constructions, concerns, or question.

Plan Development Review -  contact Troy Gano at  tgano@sjct.org  for questions regarding plan development review in St. Joseph Charter Township.
